The shortest of the five posts and the only one that cites nothing, which is why its record is mostly edges to projects and organisations rather than to works.

Its value to the collection is as the statement of position the later essays argue from: that the gap between people who think policy is someone else's problem and people who think technology is magic is where the interesting work happens.

Why this record has no draws_on

Because the post makes no claims resting on sources. It is autobiography and a statement of intent, and recording works it does not cite in order to make the record look fuller would be the opposite of what this collection is for.

The three links it does carry are to the author's former team and its products, recorded as projects rather than works, on the distinction that has held all the way through: a thing built is not a thing read.

The blog as apparatus

lwilko.com is recorded as a project of its own. The post describes its stack and observes that it is more infrastructure than a personal blog strictly needs, which was fair and has since become more so. The same codebase now validates this collection, resolves it into a graph and publishes it as a bundle.
